Barney, Jane ("Jano") 12/20/1946 - 3/28/2017 Grand Rapids Jane ("Jano") Barney, age 70, passed away peacefully at home in Grand Rapids on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Jane was born Jane Lillich on December 20, 1946, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Lillich and Juanita Key Lillich, and brother John Lillich. She is survived by her beloved children, Nathan Barney of Grand Rapids, and Gentry (Jessica) Barney of Lowell, grandchildren Colten (age 8), Finn (age 7), Calin (age 6), and Carter (age 4), sister Pat (James) Griggs of Alabama, niece Paula (Richard) Maughon, nephew Shay (Shannon) Griggs, and treasured friend Emma Blakeman. Devoted to family and her many friends, Jane she will be remembered for her southern charm, sharp wit, warm heart, and kindness to others. A celebration in Jane's memory will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.
