Linda Spencer Martin

Visited San Diego and Arizona.

I moved to Huntsville in 1961 from New Orleans. What a culture shock. After graduation, I went to the U of A (was a Delta Zeta) and graduated with a degree in Microbiology.
I went straight to work at the Centers for Disease Control and stayed for 30 years!
My first marriage did not take but my second one to Ron Martin in 1976 has lasted. We have one child and one grandchild of our own and Ron has 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren from that marriage. Most of them live in Arizona.

While working at CDC I was fortunate to obtain my MS from Georgia State and the my PhD from Emory. I had a great career at CDC. I was in the lab during the AIDS crisis and finished at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health - a part of CDC dealing with worker safety. I was responsible for a group dealing with healthcare worker safety.


After retirement in 1999, we moved to Villa Rica, GA - west of ATL. My husband golfs and I work in real estate.

Reading, line dancing, gardening. Had to give up snow skiing.
