I believe Ron was killed in a car wreck when in college. Remember his red Triumph Spitfire that he was always pushing to the limit. I will never forget rappelling down Monte Sano cliffs with him on big ropes, heavy gloves and no carabiners. His confidence and strength were the key ingrediant. The first step was the hardest. He taught me to lean back and trust the rope. He lived at the edge, fully.
Thanks for the information. We can look up the reference to this online obit at the library to get the longer one. Annwhite and Lee have done a great job with these. We only had the information on two or three earlier. I'll try to remember to do that sometime soon.

I always thought it was a car accident too, but someone said that he fell when climbing. I don't know if we have found an obituary yet.
Paul Haley (Lees-Haley)
I found this very brief obituary information online for what it's worth...

Yvonne Vizzier (Thaxton)
I believe it was the year after it happened, that my mother told me it was a car accident.
