Who knows what happened to Russell Blackledge?

Russell and I were roommates for most of our four and a half years at Univ of Alabama in Tuscaloosa (along with his good friend Bushy Mrazek).  We both were in the College of Chemical Engineering and Advanced ROTC.  He was Air Force and I the Army.  So upon graduation we separated to go to our respective service obligations during the Viet Nam War.  I wound up back at Redstone Arsenal for my entire duty, while Russell was on a foreign tour as a pilot of C-130 's if I remember correctly.  I attended his wedding post UA graduation and before his service began - actually he had a military wedding.  He was overseas when I married, otherwise he would have been a groomsmen.  I never saw Russell after his wedding as we were on different sides on the continent post war. He was a commercial pilot for a time and then went into business for himself supplying concrete block in Georgia.  His wife Frieda, whom he met at Bama, was from the Mobile area. They had one son, Colon. This is about my knowledge and some of it might need correction.  I'll try to contact his older sister Janice to get more info.  I cherish the memories of the time we had together.  Our respective parents were all originally from the same town in Mississippi and both families were members of Whitesburg Baptist Church in Huntsville.
