Obituary of Andrew  Joseph Broome Jr.

Feb. 27, 1946 – Oct. 22, 2018

Joe was a graduate of the Huntsville High School class of 1964.  In his junior year he married his high school sweetheart, Jane Alden and during his senior year they had a daughter, Lora Elisabeth.  Joe worked full time at Kroger’s during his high school years and joined the Naval Reserves to earn extra money.  He maintained excellent grades and after graduation joined the Navy, stationed out of Charleston, SC. 

After his service time was over he went to work for Sears for eleven years selling appliances and electronics.  He also worked for Crawford and Co. as an adjuster and for Morgan Driveaway delivering vehicles, trailers and other things all over the country. 

At some point in the 1990’s Joe got interested in Darts and went to the National Championship in Las Vegas one year.  In the final round, he won two of the five games, coming in second.  During the tournament he beat four former world champions.  The man that beat him went to Singapore and became the world champion that year.

He is survived by his daughter, his brother and many nieces and nephews.
